We are looking for a creative Game Designer who thinks differently about what “gaming” means, able to create a fun and unexpected interaction out of just about any situation.
Desired past experience includes 3+ years in game / interaction development, with a strong handle on the psychology behind developing interactive experiences.
Candidate must possess the following qualities: ability to create interactive experiences outside the ordinary; excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills; strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to design collaboratively; excitement to work quickly, in many different directions, bouncing through ideas.
Must be able to follow creative direction closely, including receiving feedback and rapidly iterating on a concept. Must be able to maintain creative intent while bringing something new and unexpected to the designs.
Job responsibilities include: Brainstorming ideas for new and exciting ways for people to interact online and in real life experiences based on narratives and fictional worlds. Developing those ideas into fully functional interactions / games. Play test interaction concepts to ensure friction-free widespread understanding and adoption. Work directly with web / app designers and developers as well as writers and experience designers to create experiences that allow people to engage with a story, not just passively observe.
